This article contains 100 units of the 'iM881A-XL Prolink LoRaWAN 3.0 EU868' radio module on Tape & Reel for automated pick and place tools.

The 'iM881A-XL Prolink LoRaWAN 3.0 EU868' is a compact and low-cost radio module that operates in the unlicensed 868 MHz band and combines a powerful Cortex® M0+ controller with the LoRa® transceiver of Semtech® Corporation.

It has been specifically designed for battery driven devices. It consumes 28 mA in transmission with the maximum output power of +13dBm. Combined with an excellent sensitivity of down to -138 dBm a range of 12 km can be achieved in free space environment.

The iM881A-XL is pre-certified according the European RED guideline and can be soldered like an SMD component.

The pre-programmed ProLink LoRaWAN® firmware v3.0 (compliant with LoRaWAN® specification v1.0.4) supports Class A and Class C (unicast and multicast messages) and brings a new functionality that allows a device-to-device LoRa® communication. Furthermore it provides various options for configuration and communication via the serial interface.

iC880A-SPI - LoRaWAN Concentrator 868 MHz
iC880A-SPI - LoRaWAN Concentrator 868 MHz

The iC880A-SPI is able to receive packets of different end devices send with different spreading factors on up to 8 channels in parallel. Due to the fact that the combination of spreading factors and signal bandwidths results in different data rates the use of “Dynamic Data-Rate Adaption” becomes possible. That means that LoRa® nodes with high distances from the concentrator must use higher spreading factors and therefore have a lower data rate. LoRa-nodes which are closer to the concentrator can use lower spreading factors and therefore can increase their data rate. This allows to build easy to handle star or multiple star networks without the need of routers or repeaters. Note: To connect a SMA Antenna (i.e. Art. 404811) it requires an u.fl-to-SMA cable (Art. 404812). LoRaWAN™ is a trademark of LoRa Alliance™, LoRa® is a registered trademark of Semtech.
